Junior Sommelier / Wine Waiter/Waitress

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Junior Sommelier or Wine Waiter/Waitress to work in our Sirocco Restaurant, The Wine Cellar and in Banqueting.

 

Key Duties

To assist our Sommelier with the production of wine lists.

Be responsible for wine service in the dining room in conjunction with another Junior Sommelier.

Order and rotate stock as appropriate.

Be responsible for all glassware on a daily basis.

Maintain standards and interact with guests in a professional and appropriate manner.

Assist in all restaurant duties as requested by the Restaurant Manager, even if not directly related to wines.

 

Qualities Required:

A passion for wine and food.

Possessing a desire to progress – there is opportunity to progress for the right candidate.

Experience with fine dining preferable however will accept candidates with no experience that are willing to learn.

Ability to interact well with guests and possessing very good manners.

Good level of English (written and spoken).

Preference will be given to individuals with WSET degrees (or equivalents).

 

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: negotiable
