This policy explains how The Royal Yacht Hotel (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Our approach
We use as few cookies as possible.
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or social media tracking pixels on this website, and we do not share data collected here with advertising networks. We do measure how our website is used, but we have chosen an analytics tool that sets no cookies and does not track individuals.

Analytics, and why we set no cookies for it
We use Plausible Analytics, hosted on our own infrastructure in the EU, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful.
Plausible sets no cookies, does not use device fingerprinting, and does not collect or store personal data. It does not track you across websites or over time, and it cannot be used to identify you. All measurements are aggregated — for example, the total number of visits to a page in a day.
Because no personal data is collected and nothing is stored on your device, this measurement does not require your consent. We have chosen this approach deliberately, in preference to conventional analytics platforms that rely on cookies and cross-site tracking.
If you would still prefer not to be counted, you can enable “Do Not Track” in your browser, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts.
Third-party content
Google Maps
Our Contact page includes an embedded Google map showing the hotel’s location at the Weighbridge, St Helier. When this map loads, Google may set cookies on your device and receive your IP address and information about your browser. This happens under Google’s own terms, not ours, and we have no control over or access to those cookies. Google may use this information for its own purposes, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
If you would rather not load the map, you can decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner, or find us using the written address on the same page.
Links to other services
Several parts of our website take you to services operated by other companies. These are separate websites: once you leave theroyalyacht.com this policy no longer applies, and any cookies you receive are governed by that provider’s own policy. This applies to our room booking system, our restaurant reservations provider, our spa booking and spa voucher system, and our gift voucher platform. We would encourage you to read the cookie and privacy notices of any of these services before providing information to them.
