Head of Restaurants, Claudio Abreu, achieves MBA qualification

Head of Restaurants at The Royal Yacht, Claudio Abreu, has recently earned an MBA in International Hospitality Management from the IMI University Centre in Switzerland.
Mr. Abreu’s research focuses on the branding of Jersey as a holiday destination, with a primary focus on Jersey’s image and the way the Island is perceived by both tourists and locals.
Mr. Abreu has has held senior positions at the hotel for eight years, having joined prior to The Royal Yacht’s significant expansion and renovation in 2007. In 2014, Claudio oversaw and played an essential role in the re-launch of restaurants Zephyr and Sirocco in addition to the launch of the intimate and sophisticated Wine Cellar. His role is a varied one which includes maintaining the success of popular al-fresco brasserie Zephyr and the stylish, gourmet Sirocco, as well as developing innovative new products like the newly-launched exclusive by invitation only wine club.
Claudio is passionate about providing a truly exceptional experience to everyone who visits the hotel’s restaurants, whether they are celebrating an anniversary or having a business lunch. His love of socialising, good food and fine wines is obvious and his enthusiasm for his work infectious. Claudio is pleased to be back on the Island applying the knowledge he gained during his MBA programme.
