How are child and senior defined?

Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult/legal guardian to ensure that the child’s behaviour is appropriate for other guests within The Royal Yacht. Subject to availability of suitable accommodation, children aged 11 years and under stay free when sharing a room with two adults.  At the discretion of The Royal Yacht, children may be excluded from certain events or promotions where deemed unsuitable or inappropriate. Please note one of the guests occupying a room needs to be over 18 years old. The Spa is not suitable for children under 16 years of age and therefore children in this age group are not permitted to use the spa’s facilities including the swimming pool.  As a result, we would like to offer children under 16 a complimentary pass to Aquasplash swimming pool. Clients must read and follow the conditions of use displayed at such facilities.

We have children; can we get extra beds/cots in the room?

We can accommodate children under 12 years old when sharing with adults. Maximum occupancy in one room is 2 adults and 1 child. One extra bed or cot can be provided in specific room types; please check with reservations. Extra beds may be arranged for children between 12 and 16 years of age for £25/night.

 

How do I cancel/change my reservation?

The cancellation policy varies according to the rate that is booked.  Please refer to the individual full rate descriptions given at the time of booking or contact reservations for more information.

Flexible rates can be cancelled up to 48 hours (by 12 noon) prior to the arrival date free of charge. Non-arrivals or cancellations made within the 48 hours of arrival date will incur a 100% charge.

Best Available Rates, Special Rates and Packages are non-refundable. Cancellation or non-arrival will result in the forfeiture of the prepayment.

Changing booking dates or names falls under cancellation policy and will need to be discussed with the reservations team.

 

BLOCK/GROUP BOOKINGS

To reserve five or more rooms, the standard deposit is required and full payment must be made within one month of arrival date. Cancellation within 30 days of the arrival date will incur full charges.

 

PENTHOUSE BOOKINGS

Penthouse suites bookings for private dinners will be subject to additional terms and conditions.

 

DISCOUNTED BOOKINGS

If, following confirmation, the number of rooms or nights are reduced, the discounted rate will no longer apply & the standard room rate will be applied.

 

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS

When accommodation is reserved by a third party, the cancellation charges automatically become the responsibility of the third party. For this purpose, The Royal Yacht reserves the right to off-set the amount payable for such cancellation against the Client’s credit card without prior notice or approval of the client, where applicable.

 

What time is check in/out?

Bedrooms are usually available from 3.00pm local time on the day of arrival. When booking please confirm your estimated time of arrival. Check-out time is by 12.00pm local time. Late departure can be organised with reception, subject to availability, at a surcharge of £10/hour until 5pm at the latest.

Is there guest parking?

The Royal Yacht does not offer car-parking facilities. Paid parking is available at the nearby Pier Road and Esplanade car parks. Visit gov.je for information on carparks and parking costs.

Is there bicycle storage available at the hotel?

Is my personal information safe and secure on your website?

Yes. We promise to meet internationally recognised standards of personal privacy protection. Other than specific “interactive data collection web pages” this web-site does not store or capture personal information.

This site’s Internet Service Provider uses “Cookies” only for collecting general user statistical information for internet system administration purposes.

 

Will my credit card be charged if I forget to cancel my hotel room reservation?

How can I make special requests regarding my stay?

Do you offer airport pickups?

This is included in the rate for the penthouse on the provision that it is reserved at the time of booking, subject to availability of the car. Promotional rates may not include airport pick up or amenities; please check rate terms & conditions. Jersey Airport has a busy taxi rank so you should be able to easily secure a taxi for your journey. Also, the #15 bus travels from the airport to nearby Liberation Station. Do you offer room service?

Room service is available. You will find the room service menu in your in-room directory. At the moment room service operates from 7.00am to 11pm. On prior request we can accommodate hot and cold food requests outside of those times.

 

Where is the Hotel situated?

The Hotel is in a remarkably convenient position, situated just two minutes away from the central bus station, Liberation Station, overlooking the Weighbridge Park, near the harbour. Just a two minute walk into the high street of St Helier and right next door to the museum, you have practically everything on your door-step.

 

What credit/debit cards do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, and AMEX.

 

What disabled facilities does the Hotel have?

A number of The Royal Yacht’s rooms offer modified facilities for use by disabled guests. As needs do vary, guests are requested to check directly with The Royal Yacht before booking. Both the ground floor and first floor bar & restaurant areas are wheelchair accessible.

 

Does the hotel have a baby listening service?

The Royal Yacht does not unfortunately offer a baby listening service. We would recommend that guests consider hiring a baby sitting service, should they wish to go out. We currently only know of one service that is insured to baby sit in hotels, Mini Me’s Activities.

The Royal Yacht does not accept any responsibility or liability for this or any company to mind minors. Hiring of baby sitting services is done at the guest’s own risk and guests accept full liability for this person’s actions whilst in the hotel. Should guests hire a service, we request that they notify front desk so we may be aware of the presence of an extra person for fire and safety purposes.
