Welcoming Thomas Burford as Hotel Director at The Royal Yacht Hotel & Spa
The Royal Yacht Hotel & Spa is delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Burford as its new Hotel Director, bringing with him nearly three decades of experience in luxury hospitality.
Thomas joins The Royal Yacht following six successful years as General Manager at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, and most recently as General Manager at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel. His career spans 29 years, beginning at just 15 years old, and has seen him work across a portfolio of prestigious four red star hotels, spa destinations, and golf resorts.
This wealth of experience, combined with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, makes Thomas a natural fit for The Royal Yacht as it continues to evolve its luxury offering in the heart of St Helier.
Thomas commented:
“I initially came to Jersey for a short 8-week assignment and seven and a half years later I’m still here. Jersey has truly captured my heart and is a place I now call home. I’m incredibly passionate about hospitality, and the guest experience is always at the forefront of everything I do.”
In addition to his new role, Thomas also sits on the board of the Jersey Hospitality Association, reflecting his commitment to the wider industry and his influence within the local hospitality landscape.
His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for The Royal Yacht Hotel & Spa, as the hotel continues to invest in excellence across its accommodation, dining, spa, and guest experience.
