The Royal Yacht has been included in the TripAdvisor ‘Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame’

This has been awarded to us having received a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for 5 consecutive years…

The Certificate of Excellence honours hotels that deliver ‘consistently great service across the world’. This designation is presented to approximately 10% of total businesses on TripAdvisor that have consistently achieved great reviews over the past year. We are delighted to have received this award for a number of years and are honoured to have now achieved ‘Hall of Fame’ status. This is a tribute to our hard-working and friendly staff, our delicious food and drink offering and top class facilities.

Earlier this year, we also received a ‘Loved by Guests’ award from Hotels.com, recognising our excellent level of guest services, based on guest reviews and experiences.

Starter

‘Beef tartare, pickled beetroot, truffle, carrot’

Victor says:

“I like this dish because the customer can season the beef to their liking allowing them to personalise the dish to their desired flavour”

Main

‘Roast cod fillet, peas, capers, baby gem lettuce, pancetta’

Victor says:

“This is the perfect summer dish, a nice chunky piece of fish with a light but piquant aroma”

Dessert

‘Strawberry parfait, toasted marshmallow, white chocolate mousse’

Victor says:

“In season strawberries, this dish has a refreshing and light taste and is perfect if the sun is shining! I would also add a glass of Elysium Black Muscat”

Wines

Victor has suggested two wines for your meal…

If you are a lover of white wine, he recommends the ‘ Waterkloof – Circle of Life‘ – a full bodied blend of Sauvignon Blanc & Chenin Blanc. Waterkloof use Biodynamic farming and haven’t used pesticides since 2008, achieving ‘Biodiversity Champion Status’

If you prefer red wine, Victor recommends the light bodied Pinot Noir from Cloudy Bay (New Zealand). He says this wine would be paired perfectly with his chosen starter of beef tartare.

Well done Bianca!

A big well done to our Assistant Spa Manager, Bianca, who won her fight in the Boxinbusiness Jersey White Collar Boxing 2018. Bianca raised well over £1000 for Mind Jersey. Spa Manager Caroline said “it was a really cracking evening and all the fights were great. It is such a fantastic event to attend and support”.

This was the 10th anniversary of the White Collar Boxing event and the total amount raised by all fighters was £85000.00. Great work every one from The Royal Yacht.
