Christmas Light Switch On and start of La Fête dé Noué 2016
October 31, 2016
24th November
Join in on the official start of the Fête dé Noué at the Christmas Lights Switch On.
Set to be the best Christmas Lights Switch On yet, the crowds will start to gather at Howard Davis Park, Millennium Town Park and in the Royal Square from 5pm. You can take your pick of where you’d like to join the fun.
Millennium Town Park: Join Santa’s Parade as he makes his way through St Helier, switching on the lights as he goes. We recommend heading down for 5pm to soak in the festive atmosphere and enjoy the entertainment. The Parade will leave the Park at 5.30pm.
Howard Davis Park: Join pantomime characters for the ‘Glow Parade’ from 5pm. We’ll be handing out UV glow wants to light up the streets as we go. With music from ‘Word on the Street’, the Parade will leave the Park at 5.30pm.
Royal Square:
4pm-5pm – See Finlay the magician perform magic tricks
5pm-5.30pm – Live Christmas music
5.30pm-6pm – First Tower School Choir
6pm (approx.) – The Millennium Town Park and Howard Davis Park Parades will arrive at the Royal Square to see Santa, and then Dame Tilly Trott will switch on the lights, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
We recommend getting to the Royal Square early to avoid disappointment.
Weighbridge Place: The Parade will continue on to Weighbridge Place, where Santa will officially open the Arctic Village.
